Ray Mac Stadium to become the official home ground for Salisbury FC Women

From the 6th of November 2022, The Ray Mac Stadium will become the official, permanent home ground for Salisbury’s women’s football team.

It’s taken the local club almost a decade to get to this point, but now the women’s team have officially united with Salisbury FC.

This was made possible over the last few months as a result of support from R Stokes LTD, who are the sponsors of the team’s home kit this season and are stepping up to be their stadium sponsor next season.

Courtney Cassar, Salisbury FC Women’s Manager said, “Having the Ray Mac as our home ground is an absolute game changer for Salisbury FC Women, made possible by R Stokes LTD to whom we owe everything.

“I’m excited to see where this step up propels the team, and I’m happy that Salisbury FC and Salisbury FC Women are finally united as one banner. We’re going to do our community and our club proud.”

Courtney says that now the team can play at the Ray Mac, young girls will have something to aspire to.

“I’m working hard on helping to set up a girls’ pathway within the club. For the women’s team, it means recognition and hopefully promotion, as the more visibility we have as a team, the more likely it is we’ll start climbing the women’s football pyramid.”

Courtney has set up a coaching team who she says are all keen to see women’s football develop. The head coach Jase, assistant coach, Mitch and goalkeeper coach, James have all played a vital role in the negotiations for securing the Ray Mac Stadium.

Salisbury FC Women are offering free entry to their home games for the rest of the 2022/23 season. They play Sundays at 14:00 – for fixture details click here.

They hope to “Pack the Mac” with fans and supporters ready for next season.
