Wiltshire Police encourage us to ‘Walk Away’

Wiltshire Police are urging us to ‘Walk Away’ as they aim to improve safety on a night out in Salisbury.

That’s the message from their behaviour change campaign, which focuses on Salisbury City Centre and aims to improve safety on nights out.

#WeWalkAway is being backed by Gifty Tetteh – the mother of Freddie Fontete-Jones, who died after being punched during a night out in Salisbury in February 2022.

They say, “We encourage individuals to recognise those personal, possibly violent, trigger points and Walk Away or help your mates Walk Away.”
