A local resident who lives roughly 30 yards from Salisbury Law Courts told Love Salisbury what he saw this morning.

Eye witness, Andy Blyth said, “I didn’t sleep all night I had insomnia so I thought I would go to McDonald’s at about 6am this morning. I walked down there to McDonald’s and about 6 feet up somebody has written ‘JUST IS NOT’ on the law courts.

“At the big double doors, I thought it looked like a bit of string that is about 5 foot up wedges in the doors and then it run down around the tin and I didn’t think anything of it.

“I came back around 6.30am and stopped and took a picture. I sat down and looked at the picture again and I could see it was an actual cable wire and I went to ring the police and I went for a second look and when I got out there the police had turned up.

“If you ask me it was definitely made to look like a bomb. Now it is total lockdown out there, if you go out of the cordon you can’t come back in. Every road off Wilton road, up to Asheville Road.”
