Snow is coming to Salisbury

Snow has been forecast for several Salisbury city centre locations in the run-up to Christmas.

This festive season, Salisbury BID is making the dreams of a white Christmas a reality with a snow machine!

From Friday, 2nd December, the snow machine will pop up at various locations across the city, including in The Maltings, The Old George Mall, Guildhall Square and Salisbury Cathedral.

Andy Milton, Snow Ranger at Salisbury BID, said, “We wanted to bring some festive cheer to the city this Christmas and what better way than by making it snow! We hope it will bring a smile to the faces of the shoppers in Salisbury.”

These snow machines have been used on multiple TV and film sets to create magical, realistic snow scenes. Some of the projects that feature the snow include Miley Cyrus’ ‘Adore You’ music video and festive adverts for McDonald’s, Waitrose, M&S and Cadbury’s.

The machine uses a snow fluid which is bio-degradable, non-toxic, non-staining and dermatologically tested so it is safe for people, the planet, pets and wildlife. The snowmachine will pop up in pedestrianised areas of the city so children and adults alike can enjoy the magic of snow at Christmas.
