Salisbury Music Awards return

The Salisbury Music Awards return this weekend (Saturday, 26th November) for the 2022 edition of the showcase that celebrates Salisbury’s music scene.

This year the event is again being hosted at Brown Street, and local music fans have been voting for their favourites in several categories.

The Salisbury Music Awards have been running since 2012 and are a popular event in the Salisbury music calendar and have been held at several venues around this city.

This year the categories include:

  • Best Drummer
  • Best Bassist sponsored by Andrea Penna Photography
  • Best Keys Player sponsored by Hangover Hill
  • Best Brass Player
  • Best Guitarist sponsored by Figgle Fest
  • Best DJ
  • Best New Band
  • Best Young Band sponsored by Rose Gale Trust
  • Best Lead Singer
  • Best Solo Performer
  • Best Live Act sponsored by Sounds of Salisbury
  • Best Band sponsored by Jaffa’s Health Centre of Cats
  • Outstanding Contribution to the Community
  • Lifetime Contribution to Salisbury Music

Voting for the awards closes on Friday (25th November) ahead of the awards on Saturday. you can vote on the Salibury Music Awards website – https://salisburymusicawards.co.uk

There will be performances from Effie, Love Is Enough, Poetika, The Intercepteurs and Carsick.

Cameron Walker, lead singer of Love Is Enough is excited to be performing on the night. He said: “As Salisbury boys that have been a big part of the local music scene for over two decades, being part of Salisbury music awards is an honour.

At a time when musicians and music have been struggling, it’s always an honour to be considered for any recognition to our contribution. The music scene in Salisbury is thriving again and Salisbury music awards are bringing everyone together and celebrating our creative community.
