New plant shop opens in Salisbury to serve “a city of houseplant lovers”

A new houseplant shop has opened on Fisherton Street, Salisbury, selling splendid succulents, lovely leafy plants, and beautiful botanicals.

Botanic Folk is an indoor jungle full of all things green, from luscious houseplants and spikey cacti to accessories and plant artwork.

“This business was born out of a houseplant addiction which somehow spiralled out of control,” said shop owner Charlotte Gale.

“In 2014, I started making air plant and succulent gifts, art prints and accessories for fellow house plant fanatics. I became increasingly more fascinated by larger, leafier plants, and I was experiencing so much frustration trying to buy healthy hard-to-find varieties in our area. So I set about sourcing specialist growers across Europe and eventually added leafy plants to my product range”.

Now, Charlotte has a shop and studio in the heart of the city to house her ‘plant babies‘.

“The new space is permanently located at 100 Fisherton Street in an area which is an indie hub in the heart of Salisbury. As well as the healthy plants that Botanic Folk is renowned for, the shop will sell a selection of botanical gifts and accessories.

“I also hope to host seasonal botanical workshops“.

Speaking to Love Salisbury, Charlotte added, “I’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of positive feedback and been made to feel right at home in Fisherton Street. Salisbury is officially a city of house plant lovers and proud plant parents and I am loving meeting you all”.

Since most of the stock at Botanic Folk consists of living plants, it will change frequently. Visit often, or give them a follow on social media to stay up to date and make the most of the selection.
