New co-working space for Salisbury coffee shop

Just nine months after opening, a coffee shop on Salisbury High Street is expanding.

Today, (21st January 2022) Sonder Coffee is opening a co-working space on the top floor of the building. There are seven spaces available, four of which are on a communal table and three are individual private desks.

You can book a two-hour slot through the Sonder Coffee website, or turn up on the day to see if there is a desk available.

Ebony Paz, owner of Sonder Coffee, was inspired to add a co-working space by her partner. He, like many in a post-Covid-world, works from home but doesn’t have an office space. He would jump from coffee shop to coffee shop but Ebony knew that wasn’t a good long-term option.

Ebony said, “This was the perfect thing for him, because you get to book, turn up and sit in an environment which feels like a coffee shop but you don’t feel obliged to buy a drink every hour.

“Especially since the pandemic, most people have had to work from home and it can get quite isolating, so this is a good middle ground because it is like a coffee shop but people are respectful of the boundaries that you are working.”

As well as offering desk spaces, the whole top floor can be booked by companies for meetings, either for half a day or the whole day.

Dan Collins, Salisbury BID Business Manager, further commented, “It is fantastic to see such a new Salisbury business expanding so soon. Covid has changed the way many of us are working and Ebony has worked hard to embrace the new work from home crowd.

“With the coffee shop, new events diary and now the addition of a co-working space, Sonder Coffee has become an integral part of the community in a short time. It shows how much opportunity there is in our city.”

The new Sonder Coffee website will be going live on Friday, 21 st January 2022, ready for bookings. You can find that here.

Ebony added, “We’re super excited to finally launch and get all of your feedback on our new space!
