Guidhall to host Drum and Bass night

It might not be the venue you’d expect to hear the distinctive sounds of Drum and Bass and Jungle, but this weekend, the walls of the Guildhall in Salisbury will reverberate to just that.

‘Out in The Streets’, aka Bevan Ward and Charlie Gale, are bringing the night to one of Salisbury’s landmark buildings as they take over the Guildhall with what they describe as a ‘very exciting night’.

‘Out In the Streets’ originated as an idea shared by the two friends as co-workers at Sips, Salisbury’s craft beer bar and bottle shop.

Once they established a shared love of Drum & Bass, they quickly started to discuss ideas of bringing artists from around the country to Salisbury so that the city could experience the wide variety of culture that the industry has.

They also want to encourage local people to develop their music skills and have a platform to share their love of the music with others.

Then came a community group on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/967159681275763) to promote and discuss a shared love of DnB, Jungle and electronic music within Salisbury.

They told Salisbury Radio, “Our first event, the Out In The Streets Launch Party, will have a specific focus on bringing Drum & Bass and Jungle artists to a unique and iconic venue within Salisbury, The Guildhall.

“It’s primarily a ‘club’ style night with a tasteful twist, our aim is to bring together a diverse group of music lovers (age, gender and ethnicity) in a unique venue with selected top quality partners (Sips and Professional Party Hire) for a niche night of culture and music appreciation.”

Tickets are £15 and can be purchased online here – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/out-in-the-streets-launch-night-drum-bassjungle-salisbury-guildhall-tickets-671593794117
