Brown Street to close, but new things are on the way

Brown Street has announced on its social media that the venue, as it is now, is closing.

However, the venue will open fairly quickly, with new owners taking over in September.

Brown Street opened, with its wonky door, as the venue it is now, after the old building was demolished, only leaving the fronting on Brown Street using the Sarum 76 building, separating it from the Chapel Nightclub.

The venue has hosted entertainment, including music, big-screen football, and various street food vendors in its partially covered courtyard.

They posted this morning on social media this morning, making the announcement.

In their post, they said, “We would like to thank our loyal guests and our suppliers for their unwavering support since we opened. It’s been a real journey and we’re honoured you joined us.

“Then venue will close its Wonky Door for the last time on Bank Holiday Sunday, before it reopens in September under new ownership.

“Love love love”.

We will bring you news on the new owners and the plans for the building as soon as we have it – watch this space!
