Amesbury nursery relaunches after changes and improvements

Little Druids Nursery is relaunching with a new management team following an inadequate Ofsted report in September last year.

The team have worked hard with the local authority and appointed a new management team to overcome the issues found during the Ofsted inspection on September 1st 2022.

Salisbury MP, John Glen, was in attendance as the nursery officially relaunched just days after the Government announced an extension of the 30 hours of free childcare to working parents, and spoke to Salisbury Radio during the visit.

John Glen MP spoke to Salisbury Radio about the 30 hours of childcare announced in the budget.

The setting now has a team of dedicated professionals who all work together to promote a high standard of care.

Ofsted complimented the New Manager and Directors, noting that they “work well together and are building a clear vision for the future”.

Furthermore, the Inspector reported that “the arrangements for safeguarding are effective” and that “Staff confidently describe a varied range of possible signs that children may be at risk of harm”.

Sarah Sartin, one of the directors, said, “We are thrilled to have received positive feedback following our recent Ofsted Inspection. Last September, we were devastated to receive an inadequate grading, but in the space of 6 months, we have been able to input positive changes.

“A new manager, who was officially appointed in December, has worked tirelessly, determined to implement the standards expected within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and Ofsted Handbook, and this passion has paid off.

“We are now looking for like-minded staff with the passion and determination to join our team in providing the children with the best possible start to their journey. Having made such positive progress, we want to complement our current team, who are an integral part in continuing to improve and develop our setting.”
