Wiltshire Air Ambulance invites you to afternoon tea with the crew

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is opening its doors and inviting you to join us for a Brew with the Crew.

You can join some of the charity’s aircrew at the Wiltshire Air Ambulance airbase in Semington on Wednesday, 6th September, 1-3 pm.

It’s all part of National Air Ambulance Week 2023, which highlights the work undertaken by the 21 UK air ambulance charities.

It’s your chance to enjoy afternoon tea with the pilots, doctors and paramedics who carry out their lifesaving work across Wiltshire and Bath.

To book your place, which costs £10 for adults and £5.50 for under-12s, visit wiltshireairambulance.co.uk/brew. There is a special price of £30 for a family of four (two adults, two children).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s community fundraising coordinator Kat Bowhay says: “This is a great opportunity for the community to come together with your local air ambulance.

“Join us for our Afternoon Tea-themed brew at the airbase and meet some of our lifesaving aircrew or help support our cause by hosting your own event by signing up for a free fundraising pack on our website.

“It’s a great way to celebrate National Air Ambulance Week 2023 and help support the charity’s lifesaving service while enjoying some tasty treats.”

There will also be a host of other events taking place at the airbase throughout the week, including guided tours on Tuesday 5 September and Thursday 7 September, a book reading by the authors of Deepest Wiltshire on Monday 4 September and a Craft Fayre on Friday 8 September.

In the same week, schools across Wiltshire and Bath are being urged to enjoy a non-school uniform day to support the charity. Schoolchildren can don yellow and green clothes – the same colour as the Wiltshire Air Ambulance helicopter – for a suggested £1 donation.

If you want your school to be involved, please email nykki@wiltshireairambulance.co.uk.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a charity which provides Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) across Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas.

It costs £4 million a year to continue flying and saving lives. The charity receives no regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants.
