At this time of year, the games come thick and fast and Salisbury travel to Basingstoke for their next fixture on Saturday (30th December).
Salisbury are having a bit of a tough time of things lately, though still sit second in the table midway through the season. Brian Dutton’s side have had a tough run of games and have only won two of their last six, three of those defeats.
The Whites battled back from being behind twice last time out in their 2-2 draw with Winchester City on Boxing Day. They were at a disadvantage from kick-off when goalkeeper Josh Gould was injured during the warm-up. Theo Lewis, normally an outfield player, played the whole game in goal.
Salisbury may look to bring in a loan ‘keeper while Gould recovers from dislocating his finger. He could be unavailable for up to a month.
They travel to a Basingstoke side who are also struggling badly for form, with only one win in their last ten games. Only Didcot Town have accumulated less points in that time.
Last time out, they gained a hard-earned away point at AFC Totton in a 2-2 draw. Totton are on a great run at the moment, with only Hungerford having picked up more points in the last ten games.
Salisbury will be looking to get their season back on track by bringing all three points back from Hampshire.
The game kicks off at 3 pm at Basingstoke’s Winklebury Stadium.
