Tribute concert in memory of Thom Belk

Musicians, bands and DJs from across Salisbury are coming together for a special event to celebrate the life of Thom Belk, who sadly and suddenly passed away on Boxing Day.

Thom organised events linked with music around Salisbury, including the Salisbury Music Awards, which celebrated the grassroots music scene in Salisbury – with awards going to original and cover bands, musicians and artists with a link to Salisbury.

He was a regular DJ at several venues around the city, playing as Belko as well as working for Salisbury FC he also worked with Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

He also contributed to the Salisbury Journal and Salisbury Radio. He had previously helped set up a community radio station, The City Sound, which played lots of locally produced music.

‘A tribute to Belko’ will take place at the Rude Giant Beerhouse, Brown Street, Salisbury, on Saturday, January 6th, from 4 pm to midnight.

The program comprises some of Thom’s favourite local musical acts and promises to be quite an occasion.

Entry: £5 on the door

Proceeds from door and bar profits will go to the Thom Belk Fund
