The biggest pub quiz ever is coming to Salisbury

Calling all general knowledge geniuses, fun fact fiends, and pop-culture queens here’s your chance to take on the biggest pub quiz that Salisbury has ever seen.

On Sunday 3rd October, The Biggest Quiz Ever will take over multiple venues across the city to simultaneously play the same quiz, as teams battle it out to be in with the chance of winning a £250 cash prize.

The quiz is being run by the community project team at mySalisbury in collaboration with Salisbury Radio, and we are really pleased to announce we are now being supported by All the Sevens.

Salisbury’s local taxi firm is sponsoring the event which means every penny of the entry fees and cash donated goes straight to our charity partners, Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Louise Compton, Corporate Fundraiser for Salisbury Hospice Charity said: “We are so grateful to Gary and the team at All the Sevens for kindly sponsoring this event, ensuring we can raise as much as possible for Salisbury Hospice.”

Andy Munns from mySalisbury said: “The sponsorship from Gary and the team at All the Sevens is really fantastic. It helps us pay for all the logistics of putting on the quiz and means that every person who pays to enter the quiz, or makes a donation, can be sure that every penny of that will go toward helping the amazing work that Salisbury Hospice does.”

It’s £3 per player to enter the quiz and teams can have up to 6 quizzers. You can even pick your favourite boozer across the city to play the quiz at, with the following participating venues:

Deacons, Fisherton Street
Devizes Inn, Devizes Road
Royal George, Bedwin Street
The Winchester Gate, Rampart Road
Horse and Groom, Wilton Road
Bell & Crown, Catherine Street
Salisbury FC in the Blue Bee Bar, The Raymond McEnhill Stadium (Old Sarum)

Pheasant Inn

You can now book your team into a venue here – Book Your Team.

The quiz will be hosted by Andy and Hannah Munns, who ran ten virtual quizzes during the lockdowns in 2020, along with Salisbury Radio Breakfast host Craig Hicks. The quiz will be broadcast via Salisbury Radio, so you will be able to play along at home for fun, but only those playing in one of our venues will be able to win the £250 cash prize.

Quizzers are encouraged to sign up with the venue they wish to play at so they don’t miss out on having a seat in the venue.

Andy added: “It’s really exciting to get things moving with the quiz. The questions are written, the answers checked and it’s brilliant to have so many venues supporting the event too. Hopefully, we can fill all of the venues with people ready for a fun evening of quizzing and we can’t wait to deliver the cash prize and trophy to the winning team and venue”.

Venues can still sign up to host the quiz, the deadline for doing so is 5pm on Friday 24th September. They can sign up here – Venue Sign Up.
