Song for Christmas is here!

Song for Christmas 2023 is here, and it starts tomorrow on Salisbury Radio.

This year’s competition is hotting up, with schools across the area competing to be our 2023 champions, and the pupils have been singing the Christmas songs, ready for you to hear on the radio.

We have 20 local schools competing, all of them signing different songs, with the winning school picking up a book voucher worth £250 and the trophy.

We also have a runners-up prize of £150 in book vouchers for our second-place schools.

The songs are being judged by a panel of former head teachers Joy Wagstaff, Jenny Vokes and Anne Munns. They listen to the songs without knowing which school performed them, picking our winners.

You can hear all the school’s songs on Salisbury Radio, and they will be played twice on the day of the broadcast.

You can listen to Salisbury Radio on DAB in Salisbury and the surrounding area, on Smart Speakers – just ask yours to ‘Play Salisbury Radio’ or online here at salisburyradio.co.uk
