Salisbury residents are invited to a Full Council meeting on Monday 7th March to learn about the River Park Project and the Fisherton Gateway scheme.

The meeting, taking place at the Guildhall at 6.30pm and will provide information to the public and Councillors on both the River Park Project and the Fisherton Gateway scheme and is an opportunity to ask any questions.

The team from the Environment Agency will be there to provide an update on phase 1 of the River Park Project, including information on the next steps. Residents are welcome to speak to the team and ask any questions or raise any concerns they might have.

The River Park project will reduce the flood risk within Salisbury whilst enhancing habitats and public enjoyment, improving fish passage, reducing future liabilities and encouraging growth and regeneration.

There will also be a presentation led by Wiltshire Council about the Fisherton Gateway scheme which will provide information about the improvement works.

The scheme aims to rejuvenate the area between Salisbury Railway Station and Fisherton Street to create a more welcoming and appealing entrance into the city.

The Full Council meeting marks the launch of the consultation which will be available online so that residents can have their say on the project.
