Salisbury and their supporters are on the road, or rail, for their non-league day clash with Dorchester Town on Saturday.
Salisbury still sit second in the table with just eight games remaining with their eyes firmly on remaining there until the end of the season for home advantage in the play-offs.
Dorchester, meanwhile, are in mid-table, virtually assured of safety, but have been in good form lately with non-losses in the last five. They have won their last two, both against Beaconsfield Town with a single goal separating the two sides on both occasions.
In the most recent of the two games, the overcame Beaconsfield away from home in a seven-goal thriller and clung on after a late fightback from the home side.
Salisbury are also unbeaten in their last five games and drew with Merthyr Town last weekend at the Ray Mac, when Brian Dutton’s side couldn’t break down the Welsh side’s defence.
Dorchester play on an artificial surface, which hasn’t gone well for the Whites so far this season, and I am sure the players will be hoping to correct that this weekend.
In the reverse fixture, Salisbury won 3-2 against Dorchester at the Ray Mac back in November, Sido Jombati, Charlie Gunson and Josh Hedges with the goals for the Whites.
Salisbury will be without first-choice ‘keeper Harry Lee, who has had his loan cut short by his parent club, Exeter City after he injured his wrist at the weekend.
