Salisbury look to return to winning ways as they return to the Ray Mac

Salisbury welcome Hendon to the Ray Mac this weekend as they look to bounce back from two consecutive defeats.

It’s the first time Salisbury have lost two in a row, and they still sit second in the table, level on points with the top spot, with only goal difference separating them and Chesham United.

Last time out, Salisbury failed to score for the first time in the league since August, and that was their previous meeting with Hendon. Walton and Hersham, who were marked in pre-season as promotion challengers, scored the only goal of the game in a turgid affair.

Hendon are on a good run of form, having won four of their last six games. In their last fixture, they beat Didcot Town 3-1, moving themselves up the table to be level on points with Walton & Hersham, who occupy the final playoff spot.

Niko Muir is the Green’s danger man; he already has nine goals this season, including one of the three in their last fixture.

You can buy tickets in advance from the Salisbury FC website – https://salisburyfc.co.uk/tickets/ Kick off is at 3 pm.

This is Salisbury’s final home game before their boxing day match against Winchester City, which is billed as the ‘Cathedral Classico’, apparently.
