Salisbury look to continue run away at Hanwell

Salisbury travel to Hanwell Town as they look to continue their winning streak tomorrow (Saturday, 18th November).

Brian Dutton’s side are looking to make it six consecutive wins for the first time this season and face a Hanwell team sat in mid-table with only one home win so far this season.

Hanwell Town have confirmed that the game is subject to a pitch inspection. That will take place at 9:30 am ahead of the match.

Salisbury had an unexpected mid-week off following the postponement of their fixture against Poole Town on Tuesday. That game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 5th December.

Salisbury’s great start to the season has gone up a step in recent weeks with five wins in a row, including a win against second-placed Gosport Borough.

Hanwell have had a mixed season so far. They have struggled at the Powerday Stadium, picking up more points away from home this season, and will be looking for only their second home win.

Salisbury have again strengthened their squad with the announcement of last season’s top scorer, Harry Williams from Gloucester City. Williams, playing for Swindon Supermarine, scored 39 goals last season.

Brian Dutton spoke to the club’s website after announcing the signing, “I’m absolutely delighted to acquire the services of last season’s league top goal scorer, Harry Williams.

“When Harry became available and said he wished to join Salisbury, it was too good an offer to turn down. Not only is he a proven goal scorer, but equally impressive is his ability to link the play from defence to attack.

The Salisbury faithful should be very excited by this marquee signing and join me in thanking our wonderful Chairman and Wife Helena for their continued support in bringing the good times back to the Ray Mac.
