Salisbury Charter Market cancelled due to “adverse weather forecast”

Salisbury City Council has announced that tomorrow’s (27th November 20201) Charter Market will not go ahead due to adverse weather conditions.

According to the Met Office, there is a yellow weather warning for wind in Salisbury tomorrow with wind gusts of up to 52mph expected.

The high wind speed comes from Storm Arwen, which has seen the Met Office issue a rare red weather warning to coastal areas in the northeast of England. The storm is set to bring high winds and disruption for much of the UK.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to see you at our next market on Tuesday,” said a spokesperson for Salisbury City Council.
