Nearly There for Fayre on the Square

Salisbury City Council’s summer celebration is almost complete.

‘Fayre on the Square’ launches on Saturday morning (24th July 2021) in the Market Square.

As final building works of the 6-week event continue in 28 degree heat, the impressive temporary venue will have a 9-hole mini golf course, the Salisbury City Garden Bar open and and ‘Street Food’ available.

The event will launch 10am on Saturday morning with local councillors and the city’s 760th Mayor, Cllr Caroline Corbin.

Salisbury Radio will be at the event which is being billed as a ‘Celebration of Summer’. Salisbury City Council say, “The 9 hole mini golf course is open from 10am until 9pm every day giving you the opportunity to enjoy fun for all the family for just £4 per person.”

Although you may try and turn up to play, it’s highly recommended you book your place. You can book your place for the golf by clicking here.

Salisbury City Garden Bar is back in the city, where you can sit back, relax and soak up the summer sunshine.

The well stocked bar is open every day (Monday – Saturday 11am until 11pm and Sunday 11am until 10:30pm), you can enjoy a cool beverage with colleagues on your lunch break, or wind down after work with family and friends at this laid back pop-up outdoor bar.

The Market Place event also sees Street Food vendors on the site from 11am until 7pm every day. Local vendors will be offering a delicious array of street food.

Charter 1227 will be serving a Mediterranean street food menu and The Eccentric Group will dishing up morning breakfast bagels as well as Mexican food later in the day. And of course, there will be refreshing ice creams from the ‘Van on the Square’.

Although thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday, it will not affect the heat, as temperatures of 23 degrees are still expected.
