A man in his 40s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision between a car and a pedestrian near Codford last night (31st July).
Police and emergency services were called to the scene just after 10:30 pm last night, on the A36 near Codford.
The pedestrian was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
Police are asking for any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward with any information they have.
A police spokesperson said, “The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains in a life threatening condition.
“No arrests have been made at this time.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact us now on 101 and quote log number 343 of July 31st.“
The road has now reopened.
