Harnham Physiotherapy Clinic, based in Salisbury, is celebrating 10 years in business with a new clinic.
Now open at the Salisbury & South Wilts Sports Club on Wilton Road, the new clinic has been relaunched as ‘Salisbury & South Wilts Physiotherapy’.
Marie Roberts, Chartered Physiotherapist and Clinic Director said, “The business has gone from strength to strength and has been awarded top marks on ‘three best rated’ for the past six years and has steadily built itself up again.”
Prior to the pandemic, the clinic had eight part-time therapists but COVID-19 reduced the team to one part-time physiotherapist doing video-call physiotherapy and one part-time community-based physiotherapist.
The clinic’s income fell by by 91% and like many small businesses, this was a difficult time.
Now, the practice has bounced back and has a ten-strong team based partly in the clinic and partly in the community working in people’s homes and care homes.
With two specialist hand therapists, neurological physiotherapists and even a respiratory physiotherapist – Marie says, “the team is more diverse and stronger than ever.”
“It has taken sheer determination to get the business get back on its feet (pardon the pun!) since COVID and to recover to the point of this recent expansion into the new premises,” added Marie.
Marie says that joining forces with the Salisbury & South Wilts Sports Club is a perfect combination that benefits the clinic, the club and its visiting sportsmen, women and children – as well as other event attendees who also visit the multi-purpose venue.
