Local estate agents get on their bikes for Wiltshire-based charity

Local estate agents, Cote & Castle, have teamed up with Wiltshire-based charity Alabaré to raise awareness of the charity’s work and help to raise the necessary funds to assist with their work in supporting vulnerable, homeless and marginalised people.

On Saturday 9th October, Cote & Castle team member, Simon Priestly-Cooper, will cycle nearly 100 miles from The Tower of London to Salisbury Cathedral in aid of Alabaré.

Simon will be racing against members of the Cote & Castle team, Alabaré and other local businesses. Alongside this, with donations from local businesses, the estate agent will be hosting a raffle draw throughout the day with opportunities to win prizes such as vouchers for eateries, free haircuts and much more.

Alabaré will be on site all day alongside Cote & Castle, promoting the work they do as a charity and engaging with the public about what they can do to support the team.

Cote & Castle have also set up a Go Fund Me page for Simon and his upcoming race from London to Salisbury, with a target to raise £1,000 though they would love to exceed this and help raise as much money as possible for a great cause.

There will be photo opportunities for families with Alabaré’s mascot Roofus and the Cote & Castle Jeep, as well as giveaways for kids and adults. The race day will take place outside the Guildhall Salisbury, on Saturday 9th October, from 8am until 6pm.

James, Cote & Castle Sales Manager said, “We would love for as many people as possible in and around Salisbury to come and show their support for the charity and all those participating in the event. I will have a go at racing Simon myself and look forward to working with other local businesses to give Simon a run for his money. It’s so great to work alongside a charity like Alabare, who without fundraising events like this, would not be able to do the work they do in the local community“.

Simon Priestly-Cooper, Cote & Castle Charity Champion commented, “I am looking forward to the challenge, not only posed by the distance I have to travel, but also the challenge of racing against the local businesses of Salisbury. I am hoping that my involvement in this will inspire others to get out on their bikes, something I have always loved doing.

“We are very grateful to Simon and the team for organising such a fun event that the community can get involved with.

“Cote and Castle have been hugely supportive of Alabaré. Simon and James braved the Spinnaker Tower abseil earlier this month and have signed up to Our Race for the Sun in 2022. Being their chosen charity of the year makes a real difference to us a charity. We can’t wait to see who wins the race,” said Laura Knight, Alabaré’s Community Engagement Officer.
