Local dance company to put on spooky show for the community

A Salisbury dance school is putting on a spooky show this October.

Elevate Dance Company, which is based on Fisherton Street, Salisbury, is putting their mark on a family favourite for six shows at Studio Theatre in Ashley Road from Friday 28th October to Sunday 30th October.

The show, named ‘The Addams Family!’, will give the children the chance to experience what it is like to be part of a touring dance show for a week.

There will be two shows each day, at 3pm and 7pm and they are set to be full of fun, mischief and funky dance moves.

Jacinta Landon, director and teacher of Elevate Dance Company said, “The idea is for the dancers to experience what it might be like to be in the industry and be in a show that runs for an extended period of time.”

This Elevate production will feature street dance alongside some acting and will tell a unique story using the characters that we all know and love from The Addams Family.

“There’s definitely an Elevate twist – there’s some attitude, style and a bit of funk.

“The stage will be decked out with spooky decorations and the audience will be able to meet and greet the characters of this interactive show.

“Come along, everyone is welcome and spooky outfits are encouraged too!”

Elevate Dance Company has been a part of the arts community in Salisbury for 10 years.

Jacinta strives to keep performing arts alive in Salisbury and to ensure young people have somewhere to go every evening while providing real-life experiences which prepare them for the performing arts industry.

The show is suitable for ages 6 years and up and is just as much fun for adults as it is for children. Tickets cost £6 (Under 5s go free).
