Jubilee ‘Throne’ for children having their COVID-19 jabs at City Hall Vaccination Centre

Salisbury City Hall Vaccination Centre is pulling out the stops for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee while encouraging families to bring in their children aged 5-11 years old for their COVID-19 vaccinations.

The centre will have a throne for the children to sit on while they have their vaccination. There will also be Jubilee-themed colouring activities to do and take home and a game to guess the number of sweets the Queen has hidden in her crown, which has been crocheted by one of the Centre’s team members.

Fiona Hyett, Operations Director of the Vaccination Centre, said, ”Our team has gone all out in coming up with creative ideas to celebrate the Jubilee and create a unique way to incorporate the Jubilee celebrations into our vaccination programme for children. They’re making for a fun festive environment for the children to get vaccinated and help keep themselves and their family safe.”

The vaccination centre will be open to bookings and walk-ins for 5-11s during half-term. The opening times are:

Saturday 28th May & Sunday 29th May, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Monday 29th May – Wednesday 1st June, 8:30am – 7:30pm
Thursday 9:30am – 1:30pm
Friday 3rd June – Closed
