Home Education Futures Platform to launch for home-educating families

An event aimed at home-educating families across Wiltshire will take place later this month.

The event will launch the Home Education Futures Platform to help families and their children ready to take the next steps into work, further or higher education.

The event takes place on Wednesday, 23rd August, at Lansdowne Hall, Derry Hill, near Calne.

Organised by Tam Blaikie, Project Lead of Home Education Futures at Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub, the event is an action-packed day of speakers, workshops, exhibitors and networking opportunities.

Come along to speak with local employers, learn about potential career paths, get advice on CV writing, participate in various fun activities, and network with other home-educating families.

• Careers Advice & CV Development Support
• How To Become a Successful Entrepreneur – Advice for Young Entrepreneurs
• Full access to the Careerpilot website and resources offering careers information and tools for 11-19year olds
• Meet the Invisible Museum Curator as she unpacks the artefacts she has collected through history and tries to fix her time-travel device to get the objects back home!

Getting there

Parking: Free parking space for up to 52 vehicles. Some free on-street parking is available in the side streets surrounding Lansdowne Hall but may be subject to restrictions at certain times.
