Full list of events that have been cancelled as the city mourns the Queen’s death

Salisbury and the rest of the nation entered a period of mourning yesterday (8th September 2022) after the death of Her Majesty the Queen was announced.

In light of the current situation and in respect of The Queen, some local events have been cancelled. They include:

Salisbury City Council’s Dog Lovers Sunday on Sunday 11th September 2022.

Salisbury City Council’s Car Boot Sale on Sunday 18th September 2022.

Victorian Falconry at Stonehenge on Saturday 10th September 2022.

Wiltshire Creative’s Open Doors Event on Saturday 10th September 2022.


Salisbury FC’s match against Gosport Borough, due to be played on Saturday 10th September 2022, has been postponed. More details here.

All horse racing has been suspended at Salisbury Racecourse until the 11th of September.

As Salisbury Cathedral enters a period of mourning, tickets for the Sarum Lights event will no longer go on sale on Monday. Tickets will be release on a date to be confirmed.
