Join Salisbury Cathedral for a beautiful candlelit service featuring readings, favourite carols, and choral works as they recount the age-old story of Jesus’s birth.
This service is especially suitable for younger children. There will be Christmas carols and an interactive retelling of the story of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem. The service will last approximately 45 minutes. There are 2 services, one at 13:00 and one at 14:30.
Begin your Christmas with our Choral Evensong service. This will be a moving service, full of readings, prayers, and music sung by the Cathedral Choir.
The First Eucharist of Christmas, or Midnight Mass, is a highlight of the Christian year. Everyone is welcome as we celebrate the start of Christmas by sharing communion together, hearing the Christmas Gospel followed by a Christmas message, with Christmas carols and music sung by the Cathedral Choir.
