“Do you know where your children are?”: Underage drinking, fights and a fire reported to Salisbury Police

Yesterday (23rd June 2022) Salisbury Police shared that they had received several reports of antisocial behaviour that evening including underage drinking, fights and a fire.

PCSO Rose was called to reports of a fire which was fuelled by schoolbooks and diaries.

According to Salisbury Police, upon his arrival, several school children ran off from the area. PCSO Rose contained the small fire however, had to call the Fire Brigade to ensure it was safe due to the fire being on grass and next to shrubbery.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said, “We understand that it is the last day of school for many pupils however this isn’t the way to celebrate.

“Please check in with any young people you look after and make sure they aren’t up to anything mentioned above.”

Since this morning (24th June 2022), Wiltshire Police say they have “no further incidents to report.”

Members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be patrolling hotspots and are being supported by Response Team 5.

You can contact Salisbury Police via their online reporting tool, 101 or 999 in an emergency.
