Crazy Croquet, Street Food Vendors and a Pop-up Bar: Fayre on the Square returns to Salisbury

Fayre on the Square returns to Salisbury city centre next month.

Fayre on the Square will return to Salisbury’s Guildhall Square from Saturday 23rd July 2022 until Monday 29th August 2022.

This year’s summer fayre will see a new nine hoop ‘Crazy Croquet’ course which visitors can enjoy from 10am until 8pm every day for £4 per person. Book your tickets here for a guaranteed place or pay on the day.

Salisbury’s City Garden Bar will also return this year allowing visitors to enjoy a refreshing beverage with friends or some after-work drinks in the laid-back pop-up bar.

Aimee and Dave Hancock of local hospitality businesses Tinga, Caboose and Deacons will be running this year’s bar.

Speaking to Love Salisbury Aimee said, “We are elated to have won the tender to bring Salisbury City Garden Bar back for 2022 and 2023. We feel our immersive ethos and style can now truly flourish, as we are finally able to operate without pandemic restrictions.

“I think the entirety of the Fayre on the Square event will bring vibrancy and vitality to the city over the summer, and we’re very proud to be part of it.

“We will have DJ’s, a Pimm’s deck and lots of lovely tipples on offer for a right royal affair! Delicious food, crazy croquet and of course, high-quality premium drinks are a solid foundation for a fun day out in the city over the six-week event.”

The bar will be open 11am until 11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am until 10.30pm on Sundays.

The summer festivities don’t stop there – there will also be food vendors open from 11am until 7pm daily. You will be able to grab some delicious street food, fish and chips or some traditional strawberries and cream. There will also be an ice cream van and some deck chairs to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

A spokesperson for Salisbury City Council said, “With the nine-hole crazy croquet, table tennis, ice cream, a city garden bar and street food vendors… come and experience a very British-themed Fayre on the Square this summer in Salisbury!”
