Coming to a cinema near you

The new Everyman cinema in Salisbury is edging closer to being open as work continues apace on the former bingo hall on Endless Street.

The building on the corner of Endless Street and Chipper Lane has a varied history and was once a cinema long before being used as a bingo hall.

Scaffolding is now down, revealing a bold dark grey facade to the brickwork at the front of the building, though the hoarding remains around the doors.

Inside, workmen are busy putting the final touches on the four screens the building will hold and a bar and entrance area.

The cinema’s four screens will all feature Dolby 7.1 surround sound and be accessible to those with disabilities, including hearing assist capabilities.

You will also be able to order a range of food and drinks to your seat once the cinema opens. You can see a sample of the menu here – Everyman Menu

The details of the four screens are as follows:

Screen 1
134 seats
Sony 4K projection, Dolby 7.1 digital sound, satellite capabilities, 2D only, hearing assist capabilities.

Screen 2
36 seats
Sony 4K projection, Dolby 7.1 digital sound, satellite capabilities, 2D only, hearing assist capabilities.

Screen 3
