Clarendon Walk back for 2024 for Naomi House & Jacksplace

Naomi House & Jacksplace, local hospices for children and young adults, have announced details for their 18th annual Clarendon Way Walk on Sunday, June 2nd.

The walking challenge sends you walking through the picturesque countryside between Winchester and Salisbury, raising important funds for the local charity.

You can choose three distances: 26, 12, or 5 miles, all of which take you along the breathtaking and historic Clarendon Way route from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral. The route is well signed, and pitstops along it will provide refreshments, toilet stops, and volunteers from the charity cheering you on.

This year, Naomi House and Jacksplace will use the previous year’s stock of event t-shirts to reduce their carbon footprint.

By taking part in the challenge, you will be helping Naomi House & Jacksplace be there for local children, young adults and their families on the good days, difficult days and last days.

Salisbury Radio will be out and about on the walking route on Sunday, with Sam Alford reporting on that day’s show. Andy Munns will also be at the finishing line with our friends from Salisbury & South Wilts Physiotherapy, playing some music and offering a massage for those who need it.

Charlotte Patrick, Events Team Leader at Naomi House & Jacksplace said: “We are so excited to be back with our Clarendon Way Walk. It is such a great day and we are always blown away by the dedication from our supporters to push themselves with their walk and fundraising.

This is our biggest event of the year and the money raised from the walk helps us to provide outstanding nursing care for seriously ill children and young adults. Don’t miss out on your chance to make every step count and sign up today!”

The event is suitable for all abilities and ages from 5 years. Register at naomihouse.org.uk/walk.
