International beatbox star SK Shlomo is coming to Salisbury and will be performing at the Arts Centre.
Described by The Times as a “one-person music festival”, international non-binary beatboxing star SK Shlomo is performing for one night only on 16th February with their award-winning new solo show BREATHE, which is a rollercoaster love letter to the lifesaving power of beats, bass and breathing.
After premiering at the Royal Albert Hall and winning a Fringe Award at the Edinburgh Festival, BREATHE is a thrilling mix of cutting-edge music tech and heart-warmingly personal storytelling.

This performance is being programmed by Wiltshire Creative Young Ambassadors, a group of 14 to 21-year-olds, as part of their work to ensure that Wiltshire Creative – the collective name for Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury Playhouse and the Salisbury International Arts Festival – can be more responsive, relevant and exciting for young people in the local community.
BREATHE displays distressing themes such as suicide and contains strobe lighting, haze, loud music & close proximity. Anyone and everyone aged 12+ are encouraged to attend this interactive, immersive and energetic storytelling experience.
An additional special experience for young people in the local area
In addition to the performance, there will be two BREATHE Academy workshops hosted by SK Shlomo taking place on the 25th of January and 16th of February, 2024.
These are for young people aged 12 to 25 who want to explore their story using some of the breathtaking music, technology and performance skills on display in SK Shlomo’s show, BREATHE. Everyone who attends a BREATHE Academy workshop will be eligible for a free ticket to the show. Find out more here.
