Residents of Amesbury we able to put questions to Wiltshire Council leader Richard Clewer at an event recently.
Councillor Dr Monica Devendran, Deputy Mayor of Amesbury and Unitary Councillor for Amesbury West, set up a meeting to discuss the key issues from the residents of Amesbury on the 4th of November, 2022.
The event was held at Stonehenge School in Amesbury. Some of the issues raised were Viney’s Farm, dog warden issues, improvement of the Local Transport Infrastructure, and expansion of GP practices, dentists and schools within the area.
Cllr Dr Monica Devendran said, “This was a great opportunity to fulfil my role as a Wiltshire Councillor and Deputy Mayor supporting my community and providing a platform for the residents of Amesbury to ask those pressing concerns to the leader. It is very important to organise community engagement programmes for the residents of Amesbury. Cllr Richard Clewer was very honest, informative and answered the residents’ concerns in depth.”
It was a full-house event, with residents finding it extremely helpful and informative.
Cllr Richard Clewer said, “It was a really interesting chance to hear the views and concerns of Amesbury residents.”
