A new Chiropractic Clinic is opening in Amesbury

A new chiropractic clinic is set to open in Amesbury this May.

Based in Mills House, near Solstice Park, Acorn Health is run by Philippa Oakley – an award-winning chiropractor who graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2012 with a Masters degree.

Speaking to Love Salisbury, Philippa said, “I grew up in the Amesbury area- as much as an RAF child ever grows up in one place- and my family still lives locally. Having relocated to be closer to them and recently welcoming our first daughter, I am delighted to be relaunching Acorn Health in Amesbury to serve the local community.”

Philippa began her career working with NHS patients, before establishing her own clinic in 2014.

Philippa continues, “Chiropractors are best known for treating lower back pain, and we are trained to provide care for a range of conditions- neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, and much more! Chiropractic is a profession, not a treatment, which gives me a wide skillset to choose from with my patients, from adjustments of the joints, soft tissue work, dry needling, kinesiology taping, rehabilitation programmes, it all depends on the person in front of me!

“Part of the joy of being a Chiropractor is building a relationship with my patients and helping them with bespoke support that’s designed for their needs.

“My patients are at the heart of everything that I do and as a small, family run business we have overcome varied challenges and achieved many milestones over the years. I’m excited to take on the challenge of building a new business in the local area, but I’ve already been overwhelmed with the warm reception we’ve received from other local businesses and residents.”

Acorn Health provides chiropractic care for all ages, from the very young, to the very old. Philippa is keen to support members of the community in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and provide treatment, guidance, and advice to ensure her patients know what steps to take should a problem occur.
