Where to go pumpkin picking this autumn

Spooky Season is officially here! Whether you want to cook, carve, paint or decorate, here's where you pick your own pumpkins in Salisbury this Autumn.

Ansty Farm PYO

Ansty Farm in Salisbury has all kinds of pumpkin-related activities to get you in the spooky spirit.

Their homegrown pumpkins and squash come in all shapes and sizes and colours. From Crown Prince to Harlequin, White Munchkins, and many more.

Ansty Farm's Pumpkin Patch will open for pick-your-own this weekend (Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October).

There will also have some super fun pumpkin games and a trail running from Saturday 15th until the 31st of October 2022 which is fun for all the family.

Fordingbridge Pumpkin Patch

At the Fordingbridge Pumpkin Pastures you’ll find not just pumpkins for picking but arts and crafts, giant games, barrel trains, slingshots and more.

25% from every go on the barrel train and slingshot will be donated to the Stars Appeal Neonatal unit, Sarum Children’s Ward and the Fordingbridge federation PTA.

The patch is open from Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th of October 9.30-4.00pm. From, Saturday 15th October, the patch will be open for picking every day until Friday 28th October.

Entry and parking are free. Pumpkins start at £1 crafts from £3.

Celebrate all things Autumn at the pumpkin patch’s Super Saturday event featuring live music, food and drink and a professional firework display.

Tickets are £8 per person and can be booked here.

The Barrel Train is wheelchair accessible.

Parsons Pumpkin Patch

Grab a wheelbarrow and explore this small family-run pumpkin patch near Bulford.

Parsons Pumpkin Patch will be open on the weekends of the 8th-9th, 15th-16th and the 22nd-23rd of October, this will be the farm's third year of opening the pick-your-own patch to the public.

Browse an abundance of different shapes and sizes to take home to carve, cook or decorate. On Saturday 8th and 15th of October, Rozzie Coffee will be serving up fresh coffee, tea, cold drinks and sweet and savoury treats from her coffee van.

To pick a pumpkin here, you’ll need to purchase a ticket beforehand.

One Family Ticket per car is required (permits up to five), once on the pumpkin patch, you can purchase as many as you wish.

The ticket price (£5.98) includes a £5 voucher to redeem against a pumpkin/s of your choice, parking and a small admin fee.

1-hour sessions will be running on the opening weekends - so make sure you arrive and depart within your 1-hour time slot.

Fordingbridge Picking Patch

The Fordingbridge Picking Patch has over 10 acres of pumpkins to pick from so you can find your perfect pumpkin for carving.

If you are looking for an extra Halloween experience there is also a spooky maize maze. Here, you can get lost in the old maize where someone is always watching you…

There are two types of Halloween Maze experiences - daylight and twilight.

The daytime is child friendly and not too spooky, but as the sun starts to set, all things that go bump in the night come alive...

Bring a touch to the twilight maze to keep the ghosts and ghouls at bay.

There are also crafts, an Investigation Station for budding pumpkinologists and a picnic area.

Parking and entry are free, tickets to the Halloween Maze are £6.50 per person - 2 years and under go free.
