Thousands raised by Salisbury Hospice 'convicts'

Five local people were arrested on Friday across Salisbury, all in aid of Salisbury Hospice Charity, raising over £7500.

The five, including Salisbury Radio's very own Craig Hicks' were arrested by Wiltshire Police as part of Salisbury Hospice Charity's 'Jail and Bail' event.

Their crimes ranged from stealing chocolate biscuits, being late and even retiring. They were all challenged to raise £999 in bail money to be released later.

Taking part were: Trevor Austreng, senior partner at Fawcetts Patrick Pierce, store manager at Tesco Extra Craig Hicks, Breakfast Show presenter at Salisbury Radio Emma Belcher of Brighter Days Care Zene Embleton of Brighter Days Care

After being arrested in the morning, they were taken to face Judge Paul Sample in the courtrooms of Salisbury Guildhall before they were all locked up in the cells at Live Escape Salisbury.

Fortunately, all the 'criminals' raised their bail money and were released just after 4 pm.
