On Saturday, November 2nd, the Stonehenge Chamber of Trade hosted an exciting Fireworks & Laser Show, with support from Amesbury Town Council.
The event attracted a sold out crowd of 3,500 attendees who gathered at Bonnymead Park for an hour-long laser and music performance by Chemical Dance, featuring a stunning fireworks display by local experts, Firework Effects.
The festivities kicked off with a brief introduction from Vicky Parks and Damian Kuczera from the Chamber of Trade, followed by remarks from the Mayor of Amesbury, Cllr Alan Hagger, who highlighted the sense of community and the impressive turnout.
The one-hour laser show was a hit. It incorporated a breathtaking 25-minute fireworks display that left the audience in awe.
A statement from the Chamber emphasised the months of planning that go into such an event and the importance of safety—both on the night and working with key stakeholders, such as council licensing, landowners, and the Town Council. They thanked attendees for their patience while waiting in line for the event and concessions, ensuring it was a safe event for everyone.
Plans are already underway for next year’s event, building on this year's event and responding to feedback - aiming for a family-friendly music, laser, and fireworks celebration on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
The Chamber also thanked Amesbury Town Football Club, Amesbury Rugby Football Club, Amesbury Filling Station, and Chapple Scaffolding for their support. Special thanks were given to land tenant Jason Mackie for his assistance in relocating livestock and allowing land use for a safe fireworks launch away from Bonnymead.
