The Salisbury Summer Fair, held this weekend, has once again proven to be a resounding success, raising thousands of pounds for the Salisbury Hospice Charity. The annual event welcomed over 4500 visitors and has raised £75,000, with the figure still rising. The highest total raised from the event to date.

The event featured an array of exciting arena performances that captivated audiences of all ages. Attendees were treated to spectacular motorcycle and falconry displays, as well as the herding talents of Meirion and his ‘Quack Pack’.

Shopping enthusiasts enjoyed browsing through a vibrant marketplace, where various stalls offered everything from handcrafted goods to delicious treats.

The children were delighted by a host of activities. From face painting and inflatables to a climbing wall and creative workshops, there was no shortage of fun and excitement for the youngest attendees.

Vehicle enthusiasts were thrilled by various vehicle exhibits showcasing a range of classic cars and unique vehicles. The steam displays added nostalgia with their impressive presence and historical significance.

The community arena was a hub of activity, featuring local organisations, clubs, and groups that showcased their work and engaged with attendees. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, learn about local initiatives, and support one another.

Greig Futcher, Event Fundraiser, Salisbury Hospice Charity, said, "Firstly, Wow! We are overwhelmed by the incredible support and generosity shown by everyone who attended The Salisbury Summer Fair.

"The funds raised will make a significant difference in helping us continue to provide vital care and support to our patients and their families. Our heartfelt thanks to all the performers, exhibitors, volunteers and attendees who made this event such a success."

“This event would not be possible without the kind support we receive each year from The Earl and Countess of Pembroke, The Wilton House Estate Team, Duncan Scott, Jason Judd, Linda Barrett and our team of amazing volunteers.

We would like to extend our thanks to our headline sponsor, WBR Group and our additional sponsors whose support was instrumental in making this event possible."

The Salisbury Summer Fair charity event provided a day of joy and entertainment and highlighted the local community's strength and spirit. The funds raised will go directly towards supporting the essential services provided by Salisbury Hospice, ensuring those in need receive the compassionate care they deserve.
