Salisbury’s greenest community get-together is back

Spring is in the air, and when Spring springs, Salisbury Transition City springs into action to bring you the fifth annual People in the Park event.

The celebration takes place from 10:30 to 16:30 on Saturday, 17th May, in the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Gardens. As always, the event is powered by solar energy and electric vehicles, showing that sustainability can still be fun!

Entry is free, and this year’s event is packed with even more to see, hear, taste and do. You’ll find live music across two stages, including performances from Ribble, Rosie Jay, Mcorp, Ukulele Vagabond, Maerefolk, Elastic Uke Band, Echobirds, Alex Morgan-Wardrop, and Evolution Choir — with the Sounds of Salisbury hosting the main stage. Between the music, enjoy live poetry readings that give voice to environmental creativity.

There will be even more eco-stalls, community groups, crafters, and local businesses ready to entertain, educate, and inspire greener living across our city. And don’t miss a new addition this year — Crazy Golf built entirely from reclaimed materials, fun for all ages!

You’ll also have the chance to vote for your favourite green cause for this year’s STC seed funding.

Feeling hungry? Tuck into mouthwatering food from Megh’s Kitchen, Liguori’s Wood-Fired Pizza, Bluebell Bakery, Chappers Cheesecake, and the delicious new addition Gourmet Poke Bowl — plus more veggie and vegan options than ever before.

This year’s event is generously supported by Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy, Salisbury Reds, All the Kit, and Mothership Software, and with the kind support of Salisbury City Council.
