An impressive cup run came to an end on Tuesday night when Salisbury were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Swindon Town in the Hampshire Premier Shield.
A second half surge from the whites wasn’t quite enough to get them to extra time, but nevertheless they now must dust themselves off as they prepare to host Dorchester town at the Ray Mac this Saturday.
Just 3 points separate the two sides who sit at the bottom half of the table, but with a game in hand Salisbury can capitalise this weekend if they’re hoping to finish in the upper portion of the Southern Premiership.
Assistant manager Callum Hart believes that having the home advantage will be key this weekend.
"They've (Dorchester) beaten Harrow tonight, they needed that.
"They've had a little bit of a dip in form so that'll give them a little bit of confidence.
"But we look forward to welcoming Dorch and hopefully the fans can get behind us like they did today and make a bit more noise."
Dorchester's 2-1 victory against Harrow Borough was their first in the division since February the 11th and also the first time they've hit the back of the net since the beginning of March.
Goals have come scarce for the Magpies and one man who'll be looking to continue this fate is Albanian U-19 centre back Erion Zabeli.
Zabeli joined The Whites last week having put pen to paper on 'non-league deadline day', signing on a 'work experience loan' from Oxford United until the end of the season.
Alongside this, both James Plant and Tommy McDermott will be staying with Salisbury FC for the remainder of the season after extending their work experience and youth loan.
