Salisbury Reds Announces Timetable Overhaul to Enhance Reliability

Salisbury Reds has announced a comprehensive timetable update starting Sunday, 1st September. The update includes significant changes across various routes. The adjustments aim to improve reliability and enhance the overall service experience for passengers.

Red2 Service: Weekday and Saturday afternoon timetables will see revisions to boost reliability. Additionally, the 23:32 service from the City Centre will depart at 23:35. On Sundays, the 18:32 and 20:00 (previously 19:32) services will be rerouted to include Bishopdown Farm.

PR3/Red3 Service: A minor change on Sunday mornings sees Wilton's 06:14 Red 3 service replaced by a new Red10 service.

Red5 Service: The Sunday evening service from the City Centre will depart at 19:35, 30 minutes later than scheduled. To improve reliability, timetable revisions will also apply on weekdays and Saturdays in the afternoons.

PR7/Red7 Service: As of September 7, the 07:44 Saturday service from Lopcombe Corner to Salisbury has been removed and replaced by Stagecoach 87. A new round-trip service from the City to Bishopdown Farm and back will operate at 07:49 on Saturdays.

Red8 Service: No significant changes, except for the weekday 08:30 service from Quidhampton, which will now operate 10 minutes later at 08:40.

Red10 Service: Several new services have been added to respond to passenger feedback. These include evening services between 18:55 and 22:45 from Monday to Saturday, operating every 40 minutes. A new Sunday morning service from Wilton Market Place at 06:06 will replace the Red3 service, continuing as Red1 to Bemerton Heath, the City, and the Hospital. Additional early evening journeys on Sundays will run at 19:00 and 20:32.

Red12 & Red14 Services: Timetables for both routes have been revised for improved reliability. Notably, the last Saturday service on Red14 has been rescheduled to depart 30 minutes earlier at 14:25.

Route 2 & X2: Major changes include the introduction of a new, faster X2 route, connecting Devizes Road and Stonehenge via A360 and Shrewton, bypassing A36. Some journeys will operate as 2A, taking a new route between Wilton and Stoford. The first and last journeys to Devizes will start/end at Hopton Roundabout.

Activ8 Service: In partnership with Wiltshire Council, Activ8 will now operate every 20 minutes from Monday to Saturday, with added journey time for reliability. Sunday services remain hourly.

Other Routes: Routes 25, 26, 26A, 27, 29/29A, 37, 44, 66, 87, 88, and 201 will all see timetable adjustments to improve reliability. Specific changes include earlier departures, altered start points, and route modifications.

School Routes: Several school services, including B1-B6, 601, 650, 663, 675, 937, 966, 977, 978, and 4617, will have revised timetables. To enhance punctuality, adjustments will mainly be made to morning and afternoon services.

The operator has expressed confidence that these changes, many of which were driven by passenger feedback, will significantly improve the reliability and efficiency of its services. Passengers are encouraged to review the new timetables before the September 1st changes to plan their journeys accordingly.
