Brian Dutton's side welcome Slough Town to the Ray Mac for their first home game in the Vanarama National League South.
The Whites come into the game after drawing their first game of the season 2-2 away at Hemel Hempstead. Salisbury led at halftime thanks to a double from new signing Craig Fasanmade.
The second half was more challenging, and their opponents fought back through second-half goals from Riccardo German and Brandon Barzey. Salisbury looked to get back into the lead, but they were dealt a blow when goalkeeper Ryan Gosney was shown a straight red for a challenge when he was the last man.
Josh Hedges came close when he hit a speculative effort from 25 yards, but Craig King in the Hemel goal was equal to it.
Their opponents, Slough Town, came from behind to claim all three points on the opening day at home to Chelmsford City. Chelmsford had taken the early lead, scoring directly from a corner in the 7th minute.
It took until the second half for Slough to gain parity, and Slavi Spasov was at the double, giving all three points to the home side.
Slough will be looking to improve on their finishing position of 10th last season, just five points outside of the play-off spots and will be a real test for Salisbury.
The Whites have made a late loan signing ahead of the game. They are short of keepers due to the suspension of Gosney thanks to his red card against Hemel, and Alex Rutter is still recovering from a fracture to his wrist. Brian Dutton has brought in a loan keeper in the form of Bromley's 20-year-old David Aziaya. Callum Hart said of the signing, "We’re pleased to get David in on loan, obviously, with Ryan Gosney suspended and Alex Rutter still not quite ready.
“We had to move fast, and we thank Bromley for their help with the loan. David had a taste of step 2 football last season, which will stand him in good stead; he’s a great size, very athletic and good with his feet, so we really look forward to working with him.”
