Salisbury Foodbank is seeing unprecedented levels of use and needs more help than usual.
They have given out more food parcels in January and February this year compared to 2022 and expect March figures to follow that trend.
Because of this, they are struggling with certain items, including toiletries that are very low or out of stock on things like deodorant, toothpaste and shower gel or shampoo.
Salisbury Foodbank has assembled an Amazon Wishlist to make knowing what to donate easy. There are over 40 items on the list ranging from fruit squash to toothbrushes; the list can be found here - Salisbury Foodbank Wishlist
Maria Stephenson, the manager of Salisbury Foodbank, says: "We're struggling at the moment in that we're giving away more food than we're taking in. That's a historical trend."
"We're sending out less single food boxes and more families are reaching out for help. So yeah, that is a huge worry for us, more working families are finding it hard to be able to provide for their families."
