Salisbury FC and Salisbury Radio are delighted to announce a partnership for the coming season, enhancing match-day commentary and online content.
Salisbury Radio will provide media and communications support to Salisbury FC, including match-day commentary from every away game and live updates from home games.
The partnership will hopefully see the return of some familiar voices from the past season, alongside Salisbury Radio's Andy Munns on the commentary team.
Andy has a wealth of experience in media and football. He has previously lent his services to Salisbury City FC, AFC Totton, and Middlesbrough FC.
The commentary will be available to listen to both on the club website and via Salisbury Radio on DAB, Smart Speakers and their website at salisburyradio.co.uk. This will make it easier for supporters to keep up with the action when not at the game.
Andy has already been working behind the scenes at the Ray Mac as we prepare for the new season in the Vanarama National League South. As the season begins, new digital content will be launched on the website and social media channels.
These will include some enhancements to the website, with more statistics and information from matches available at the click of a mouse. There will be a new 'match centre' while games are in progress, with access to match timelines, radio commentary, team lineups, and more.
In turn, Salisbury Radio will also feature more 'Whites content' in the build-up to each game, with interviews, features, and other information to keep the local population abreast of what is happening at the Ray Mac.
Salisbury FC director Amanda Newbery said, "Everyone at Salisbury FC is excited to be working in partnership with Salisbury Radio this season.
"Andy Munns brings creativity and years of media experience to the club. With a huge year ahead of us, we are really delighted that he’s joined the team and fitted in brilliantly as we negotiate our way through the new league requirements with the addition of some new initiatives thrown in.
"We are hugely grateful to him and the team at Salisbury Radio."
Salisbury Radio's managing director, David Harber, said, "We are incredibly proud to partner with one of the city’s most loved brands.
"This multi-media, cohesive and all-inclusive approach to delivering fans and club stakeholders with increased amounts of content from the Ray Mac will help raise awareness, interest and support for The Whites.
"Being able to provide kick-for-kick away match commentary for supporters who can’t make it to places like Chelmsford or St Albans now means all fans can celebrate Salisbury’s match successes in real-time."
The club will also work with other local news and media organisations to increase its exposure across the area. Match reports, interviews, and information will be shared with the Salisbury Journal and other local news and media organisations.
