The Whites returned to winning ways at the weekend with a four-nil demolition away at Yate Town.
Discontent had quickly resurfaced amongst supporters following back-to-back defeats by Hayes & Yeading and Hartney Witney in their last two fixtures. However, Salisbury quietened those voices after an excellent display in Gloucestershire.
Salisbury got off to a quick start when Brandon Goodship gave Salisbury the lead after three minutes. Goodship collected the ball wide left before cutting inside and guiding his shot into the top corner.
Salisbury controlled the game without creating too many clear-cut chances but kept Yate at arm's length.
Steve Claridge's side doubled their lead right at the end of the first half. Antonio Diaz was set free down the right by Sutcliffe. His cut-back found Charlie Davis, who lifted the ball to the back post for Josh Somerton to head home.
Two nil up at halftime, Salisbury started the second half in a similar way to the first. The away team controlled possession, limiting the home side's effect on the game.
The game bubbled along without any real chances until Goodship was again the man on the spot in the 74th minute. Following some good build-up play, the forward slotted home to make it three.
Salisbury kept pushing to the last, and it paid off. Goodship grabbed his third and Salisbury's fourth as the final piece of the action. Salisbury was awarded a free kick 25 yards out, which the striker despatched into the back of the net.
The win leaves Salisbury 9th in the league table after two wins and two losses in their first four league games.
Salisbury will go into Saturday's Wiltshire derby with Swindon Supermarine in a more confident mood. The kick-off is at 3 pm.
Salisbury also play Porchester FC in a friendly tomorrow evening (Tuesday 23rd August) where supporters can pay what they want. The match kicks off at 7:45 pm.
