The Salisbury City Hall COVID-19 vaccination centre celebrates its first anniversary tomorrow on 25th January 2022.
Over the last twelve months the vaccination centre, operated by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, has delivered over 200,000 vaccinations.
Fiona Hyett, Operational Director of the Salisbury Vaccination Programme said, “When we first opened our doors last year, we soon became the primary vaccination hub for the South Wiltshire area. In the first three months we vaccinated 20,000 people and in the next three 80,000. We have now administered over 200,000 vaccinations and seen, on average, over 500 people a day.
"Over the past year our dedicated team of NHS staff and volunteers, not forgetting the military personnel who have helped us, has risen to every challenge encountered. I’m immensely grateful to them and proud of everything we have achieved.
“We know COVID-19 vaccination saves lives, so it is rewarding to know our work has made a real difference.”

Salisbury is only a small city and yet the team has sustained an incredible level of vaccination activity, daily. I would like to thank the whole team and individual volunteers for their Herculean efforts, but also to our local community for coming forward and receiving their vaccinations."
The Salisbury City Hall Vaccination Centre is open every day from 9am to 7.30pm seven days a week, for booked and walk-in appointments.
