Sarum Rotary Club are delighted to be again hosting their annual Charity Corporate Quiz.
Salisbury Radio which has helped sponsor the annual Corporate Quiz has entered to two teams into the event at Salisbury Arts Centre this evening (18th March 2022).
The headline sponsor for tonight's charitable event is Parker Bullen Solicitors.
When the quiz was last run in 2020 - just before the first lockdown - Sarum Rotary raised over £6,600 for charity.
Andrew Longland from the Rotary Club says, "This year we are looking forward to welcoming 140 people to the Arts Centre.
"We're hoping to raise even more and will be pledging 80% of the proceeds to Salisbury Hospice, with the remainder going to Sarum Rotary’s charitable activities in the community."
Sarum Rotary Club which is always looking for volunteers aims to 'encourage community-minded individuals and businesses' to work together, pooling their skills and knowledge while raising 'significant charitable funds'.
Salisbury Radio is excited to assist their efforts by entering two teams this evening. Separating them into 'Salisbury Radio' and 'Love Salisbury', Station Manager Craig Hicks says, "I think this arrangement gives us twice the chance of winning.
"Like many local people, we love supporting the Hospice, particularly after assisting with the success of their Firewalk last year and their 40th birthday fundraisers."
Businesses taking part in the event who are up against the might of the (cough) 'huge brain power' of the Salisbury Radio and Love Salisbury teams include Woolley and Wallis, Smith and Williamson, Wessex Fleet and ReQuire Consultancy.
Craig who also hosts the Breakfast Show with Beth Doherty adds, "It's a great chance to get out and about just ahead of our much anticipated launch on DAB Digital Radio across south Wiltshire and west Hampshire.
"If we win the quiz, we'll be sure let you know. If not, we'll just go very, very quiet on the subject".
We'll let you know how we get on.
Or not!
