Earlier today Salisbury Football Club announced their new sponsor as Retain Healthcare. Now, the club has released a brand new kit worthy of carrying The Whites to victory.
The design of the new kit was initially inspired by ideas for a virtual kit.
When David Wressell became Salisbury FC’s first virtual manager during lockdown, he started a Football Manager YouTube series. In need of a virtual kit, David asked for design ideas. The strips were then brought together in a digital form by Lorenzo of FMCustomKits, and used in the Football Manager game.
Now they are back on the physical pitch, the team’s new kit has been inspired by those ideas.
Salisbury FC is excited to reveal their 2021/22 home and away kits, featuring the silhouette of Salisbury’s world-famous cathedral spire.
“We will never change from our famous white home colour, but we learned from the Football Manager kit experience that the yellow and blue kit from the old club was popular and something people would like to see return. So, we decided to resurrect it.
“We’re so pleased to have these custom kits and hope you like them as much as we do. They will be available to purchase in the club shop from the first home game of the season and online shortly after,” said Ian Pearson, the club’s commercial manager.
“I would like to thank our kit supplier Macron for their fantastic service. From the sponsor agreeing, to the shirts being delivered was less than 2 weeks and during their busiest time of year. That is actually amazing, especially for a bespoke design.
“Thanks to kit man Micky Western for being instrumental in bringing these ideas to life, being patient and being ready to go when we made the call to use the new kit. Finally, a thank you to David and Retain Healthcare for partnering with us. We hope it will be a long and fun journey we go on together.
“This is what can be achieved when a great team pulls together. Over to the lads on the pitch to do the same,” added Ian.
